NASA Season Opener - March 17/18 2007California Speedway, the opening race for N.A.S.A. Pro racing series and every one shows up at this event. Not just because it is the closest track to home but because of the beautiful facilities, world class road coarse, and the thought that every ones is going to be there. It’s a good idea to pay for the entrance fees as soon as possible because race entries fill up very rapidly. Read more...

Redline Time Attack! - February 11 2007Today was starkly opposite from yesterday. Overcast skies told the tale of things to come, and stubbornly I didn’t heed the warning. We loaded up the car early in the morning and I thought, “Hmmm, it’s colder than normal. Eh, it’ll just burn off.” With that I jumped into the truck and motored down the highway. As soon as we got to the freeway it started to pour! Yeah, the cats and dogs type of rain pummeled the truck and the windowless race car. Should have brought my swim trunks! Read more...

Redline Time Attack! - February 10 2007Blessed with a sunny clear day, the Redline Practice Day was shaping up to be a great first outing. Spirits were high, the car was running great and reliably. It was great to be out on the track again and to anticipate smell the heated rubber and burning 100 octane race fuel. During the off season lay over, we had worked hard to get the car back into tip top shape. From the last outing reliability was not our strong suit. We had a battery fry on us at the Redline Time Attack in December last year which was eventually deduced to the main power cable of the starter arcing itself onto any metal object nearby due to a missing bolt. Lessons learned- check all bolts and grounds for loose connections! Read more...
