All Exedy Stage 2 Cerametallic Clutch discs feature spring center dampers to reduce impact and shock loads. Exedy offers two types of Exedy Stage 2 Cerametallic Clutch discs:

* Normal Thickness (Thick)
* Reduced Thickness (Thin)

Normal thickness Exedy Stage 2 Cerametallic Clutch discs have greater heat capacity and therefore better durability in demanding applications such as all wheel drive. The thicker Exedy clutch disc is also more resistant to heat soak and therefore more resistant to slippage and fad.

Reduced thickness Exedy Stage 2 Cerametallic Clutch discs offer greatly reduced inertia to improve shift efforts as well as having faster revs when a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8/9/MR enthusiast blips the throttle to match revs and more improved synchro durability. The Exedy Stage 2 Cerametallic Clutch discs are approximately 1/2 the thickness of a stock OEM Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8/9/MR disc and are recommended for track use only.

Clutch Cover:
The Exedy clutch covers are designed to achieve a clamping load that is approximately 40% higher than the genuine OEM part that comes standard on the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8/9/MR, allowing a higher torque transmitting capacity. Ductile material is used for all pressure plates and high burst strength can be achieved in all temperature ranges.
